Kineco FY26 Results: Revenue Up 77% to ₹433 Crore, Margins Thinner

Kineco Limited, the Goa composites maker behind Vande Bharat train interiors, grew FY2026 revenue 77% to ₹433 crore. Profit after tax rose 43% to ₹24.6 crore. Profitability did not keep pace: EBITDA rose only 13%, and the margin fell from about 18% to 11.5%. Below are the numbers, what drove them, and what the ₹3,750 unlisted price (28 Oct 2026) assumes.

FY2025 and FY2026 are the figures circulated from the FY2025-26 annual report. FY2024 is from ICRA's November 2025 rating report. ICRA's FY2025 figures differ slightly: operating income ₹245.5 crore and PAT ₹16.4 crore.

What drove the growth

Kineco has not published a segment breakdown, but three things changed between FY2025 and FY2026:

  • A full year of acquisitions. Kineco bought the remaining 49% of its aerospace joint venture, Kineco Kaman Composites, from Kaman in October 2024 and merged it in. It bought Semvac A/S, a Danish rail-sanitation company, in December 2024. FY2026 is the first year with both fully included. TRB Lightweight Structures (UK) joined in September 2025.
  • Rail work ramping up. Kineco makes nose cones, vestibules, interior panels and toilet systems for Vande Bharat trains and dispatched its 100th Vande Bharat nose cone in June 2025. Sleeper-train interior contracts followed.
  • More capital. About ₹88 crore of fresh equity came in 2024 and about ₹80 crore more in November–December 2025. Bank lines were enlarged at the same time: Tofler's MCA data shows new charges in favour of HDFC Bank (₹112.8 crore, December 2025), SBI (₹50.9 crore, October 2025) and Axis Bank (₹30 crore, May 2026).

Why margins fell

Revenue grew almost six times faster than EBITDA, so the extra sales came at a much lower margin. The company has not explained this. Our reading is that the likely causes are:

  • Lower-margin acquired businesses now consolidated for a full year;
  • Start-up costs on new rail programmes before volumes settle;
  • Tender pricing. ICRA flagged stiff competition and limited pricing flexibility in tender-based orders, plus penalties if deliveries run late.

Watch the FY2027 margin closely. If it recovers towards the mid-teens as the sleeper contracts reach steady production, profit could grow much faster than it did in FY2026. If it does not, a large order book will produce revenue but not much profit.

What the ₹3,750 Kineco share price implies

MeasureValue
Ask price (28 Oct 2026)₹3,750
Equity shares (post-merger)77,53,815
Implied market cap~₹2,908 Cr
Price / FY2026 earnings~118x
Price / FY2026 revenue~6.7x
Latest primary price (Dec 2025)~₹3,006

At the ask, buyers pay roughly 118 times last year's profit, a valuation that only makes sense if the ₹3,000 crore order book turns into much larger, profitable sales. The ask is about 25% above the ₹3,006 per share at which Kineco allotted shares in December 2025. The registered valuer's share-swap valuation for the Kineco Train Tech merger used the same ₹3,006.

The quote has been volatile. On ShareSaathi it went from ₹3,325 on 7 October to ₹4,400 on 17 October, then back to ₹3,750 by 26 October, with no company announcement in between.
